International meeting of naive artists
The first art camp/Meeting of naïve artist was held in Trebnje in 1968 with 9 artists participating. At the beginning the art camps and exhibitions were focused on Yugoslav naïve art. However the annual meetings and exhibitions have soon grown to international scale with artists coming from all around the world to participate in the Meeting.
Education
The educational programme of The Gallery of Naive Artists Trebnje is intended for pre-school and schoolchildren and adults. With it we want to bring art closer to different age groups who can through play, sensation and creation learn more about culture and naive art.
About us
For more than four decades The Gallery of Naive Artists is the most important institution for naive art in Slovenia.
The gallery is housed in a building in the centre of Trebnje. The main part is dedicated to the permanent exhibiton, smaller part is used for temporary exhibitions, workshops and other activities.
The Gallery of Naive Artists Trebnje is also the official marriage venue of Trebnje Municipality.
