Starting from March 18, 2025<\/strong>, the gallery will showcase works created during last year\u2019s 57th\u00a0International Meeting of Self-Taught Artists Trebnje.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The participating artists included Julija Drgan (Slovenia), Laura Li\u010der (Slovenia), Marjan \u0110armati (Serbia), and Ruslana Anichyna (Ukraine)<\/strong>, who joined for the first time. Meanwhile, Minna Lehv\u00e4slaiho (Finland), Natalia Berezina (Slovenia\/Russia), Stela Stefanova (Bulgaria), and Stijepan Ivanec (Croatia)<\/strong> have previously experienced the spirit of the symposium.<\/p>\n

The Grand Prize<\/strong> was awarded to Natalia Berezina<\/strong>. An illustrator and graphic designer, she left her native Novosibirsk nearly eight years ago for Ljubljana, where she often combines different artistic techniques. In her award-winning composition, her approach is enriched by delicate artistic interventions with a drawing-like character. At first glance, the world on the canvas appears playful, yet it reveals deeper reflections on events and phenomena in our surroundings:<\/p>\n

“In a way, these are fairy-tale creatures, fairy-tale images. But each painting tells a real-life story\u2014my story, the stories of my friends. This award is an acknowledgment that my story has been heard and seen. It is a great honor for me,”<\/em> says Natalia Berezina<\/strong>, who now lives and creates in Slovenia. In two years, she will hold a solo exhibition at the Gallery of Na\u00efve Artists Trebnje<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In addition to the Grand Prize with a solo exhibition<\/strong>, the gallery\u2019s expert panel also awarded three special recognitions<\/strong> for artworks created by Ruslana Anichyna, Stela Stefanova, and Stijepan Ivanec<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
