Thematic Exhibition by Jožica and Rudi Škof: IMPRINTS IN STONE // March 19 – May 9, 2026

The exhibition Imprints in Stone presents stone sculptures by artists Jožica and Rudi Škof from Novo mesto. It showcases their creativity, skill, and the expressive power of stone.

The exhibited works invite reflection on the passage of time, the significance of nature and humanity’s role within it, as well as the interweaving of past, present, and future.

Jožica Škof (b. 1948) is an artist actively engaged in a wide range of cultural activities, with a particular focus on visual arts. She has explored various techniques, from painting to sculpture, ultimately finding her true expression in stone. She is a member of the Skulpta Art Society in Novo mesto, where she also lives.

Rudi Škof (b. 1943) is a self-taught sculptor. He works with different materials, often combining them, though stone remains closest to him for its natural and expressive strength. He has participated in numerous workshops and art colonies and has held several group and solo exhibitions. He is also a member of the Skulpta Art Society in Novo mesto, where he resides.

Throughout their artistic journey, Jožica and Rudi Škof have been accompanied by poet Smiljan Trobiš and art historian Jožef Matijevič from Novo mesto.
