We are pleased to announce that our Artwork of the Month campaign has received an overwhelmingly positive response and generated considerable interest among the public. We have already received a number of texts, dominated by poetry, reflections and personal stories, which is particularly gratifying as it confirms that art speaks to people on different levels.
Among the responses we received, we were particularly touched by a message from Turkey, from the wife and son of the late painter Emin Başaranbilek, one of the participants of the International Meeting of Naive Artists. In their message, they expressed their gratitude for preserving the memory of Emin’s work and lifetime of creativity. They kindly shared with us some precious photographs of the artist and the awards he received during his participation in the Trebnje Camp.
This touching gesture reminded us of the power of art to transcend borders and connect people of different cultures and generations. We look forward to further contributions and thank all those who have already responded or will do so in the future. Together we write the stories that keep art alive and close.
