You are kindly invited to the opening of the temporary exhibition by Maria Kozyrenko, titled Wherever You Are, which will take place on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 18:00 at the Gallery of Naïve Artists Trebnje.
The exhibition of the Ukrainian artist, writer, and poet offers a glimpse into the rich and vibrant world of her visual works. By intertwining organic forms and intense colors, the artist creates ornament-like structures that speak their own language—full of life, playfulness, and hope.
The artist was born in a working-class suburb of Kharkiv, the second-largest city in Ukraine and an important cultural, artistic, scientific, and industrial center. She has presented her works in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Ukraine and France. In 2022, due to the large-scale Russian invasion, she moved to France, where she now lives and works.
In 2023, she participated in the 56th International Meeting of Naïve Artists in Trebnje, where she created a triptych titled Cultivating Hope. At the end of the camp, she received the Grand Prize of the professional jury, which unanimously recognized her work as the most original.
The exhibition will be on view until September 20, 2026.
